Dilmah In Search Of The Best Tea Chefs And Bartenders
Coffee has experienced a big boom in the last few years in Thailand with more and more dedicated roasters and cafes popping up in major cities like Bangkok. Which is why it's time for tea to have its moment. In an effort to introduce and cultivate a new tradition among Thai people, Dilmah is on a search for talented and creative chefs and bartenders to utilise tea in their craft and offer new perspective on how tea can be enjoyed.
Called the Dilmah Tea Inspiration For 21st Century, or Ti21 competition, its contestants come from the kitchens and bars of notable hotels nationwide. The event is set to take place at the end of this week on August 22 and 23 at the Emporium Tower, under the eyes of Dilmah selected F&B veterans such as brand ambassador chef Peter Kuruvita and Tomek Malek, a World Champion Flair Bartender.
To ensure the most creative, innovative and inspired come out on top, this year's competition incorporates six themes—Historical, Organic, Vegan, Culinary, Tea With Purpose and National—each judged on several criteria including taste, presentation, overall harmony, sustainability, storytelling and more.
