1/3 They're serious about steak.
Taking inspiration from Bull & Bear steakhouse at Waldorf Astoria New York, which has a legendary reputation of being one of the best steak experiences in the city, Bull & Bear offers amazing grilled meats, impeccable service and million-dollar views of Bangkok’s glittering skyline.
Specialising in grilled meats and seafood, Bull & Bear offers a live raw bar along with a custom-made grill designed for smoking, slow roasting, baking and grilling. The restaurant features a wide variety of menu choices, highlights include Smoked Burrata with Tomatoes, BBQ Caesar Salad, Bull & Bear Chowder, Bone in Ribeye (a 55-day dry aged Wagyu), and the one-kilogram grain-fed Porterhouse. Signature drinks include the Bull & Bear Smoked Kiwi, the Burnt Martini or Smokey Old-Fashioned along with wines masterfully selected from the United States, France, and Australia.
As part of the hotel’s jewels of the crown, the hotel’s top three stories (levels 55-57) feature three distinctive, artistically curated dining outlets, Bull & Bear is connected with The Loft and The Champagne Bar via a grandiose symmetrical staircase which features an intricate black metal and brass balustrade adorned with a gold leaf finish, hand-applied by a local artisan.
2/3 They've got one of the 'smoothest' bars, in terms of style and drinks.
The Loft evokes the feeling of walking into a New York artist’s studio from a bygone era, stylishly curated to show the artist at work. The well-crafted cocktails take their inspiration from the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book. As guests ascend the grand central staircase to The Loft and The Champagne Bar on levels 56 and 57, they are transported through design history from the Art Nouveau to the Art Deco periods.
Taking inspiration from the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book, the bar management team have crafted artisanal spirits and forgotten cocktails for the modern palate using an extensive collection of house-made ingredients, accompanied by gourmet bar bites.
A variety of drinks are offered including heavy spirit-based cocktails such as Astoria, a refreshing citrus blend of Beefeater 24 London Gin, house blend dry Vermouth and orange bitters. Those looking for a unique locally inspired tipple can opt for a Waldorf, an exquisite herbal mix of Michter’s Bourbon, Thai-Basil-Mancino sweet Vermouth, chocolate bitters and coriander, or Whiskey Smash, a whiskey-based cocktail with chrysanthemum tincture, tangerine sorbet, mint leaf and lime juice.
