The House on Sathorn welcomes the festive season with a month of jovial feasting. For two nights only on December 8 and 9 at The Dining Room, chef Fatih Tutak will be joined by chef Andoni Luis Aduriz from Spain’s two-starred Michelin restaurant Mugaritz. The 13-course dinner menu (priced at  11,500++ baht per person and an additional 2,500++ baht per person for wine pairing) will give a glimpse of Aduriz’s culinary flair for innovative fusing of food that tease the senses. Those planning to celebrate Christmas in style at home over December 23-25 can try the dinner take-away set of wholesome holiday favourites including roasted free-range whole turkey, chicken liver parfait, sourdough bread, pecan tart and more— complete with a complimentary bottle of wine or bubbles—for 9,900+ baht.

Just For Tsu

With culinary stints in some of the world’s most established Japanese kitchens, including Nakasu Mita in Tokyo, Hyatt Regency in Dubai, Okashi in Cairo, two-Michelin-star Umu in London and Kaetsu in Hong Kong, Yukio Takeda joins JW Marriott Bangkok as the new Japanese head chef. Lhong In The Making

The Wanglee family recently celebrated the launch of Lhong 1919, a Sino-Siamese art and culture space that was once their ancestral home. Overlooking the Chao Phraya River on Khlong San’s Chiang Mai Road and overseen by architect Rujiraporn Wanglee, the project has transformed approximately six rai of land consisting of traditional Chinese architecture into a mixed-use development rich in history and culture. Charmingly ornamented with Chinese mural paintings, the sweeping riverfront expanse houses eateries, a co-working space and design and lifestyle shops such as boutique jeweller Lotus Arts de Vivre and aromatic brand Karmakamet. Bangkok Airways recently launched its inaugural direct flight from Bangkok to Phu Quoc, Vietnam.
