“In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes,” said Andy Warhol and he was very right. On Monday, as we caught up with the 76th annual Golden Globes Red Carpet, the scene-stealer was the “Fiji Water girl", a young woman in a blue dress, holding a tray of Fiji Water bottles, who impressively appeared in most of the shots taken on the red carpet.
It didn’t take long for the Fiji Water girl's photo-bombing skills to be noticed by people on the Internet; it quickly appeared everywhere on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Memes were being crafted by the thousands, many awarding the Fiji Water girl “best supporting role” at the Golden Globes, and even Fiji Water themselves tweeted about her: "We're so glad everyone is talking about our water! *senses ominous presence* She’s right behind us, isn’t she?”

She’s right behind us, isn’t she? #FIJIwatergirl
But who is she? Identified as Kelleth Cuthbert, the Fiji Water Girl is a young model who is signed to several agencies, including Wilhelmina Models, Plutino and Specs. On her Instagram account she shared a photo of herself posing and smiling at the big event—by herself this time—and it had garnered more than 127k likes and 5,000 comments.
Fiji Water has been the official water sponsor of the Golden Globe Awards since 2015, but honestly this year they really made a splash!
