Lady Gaga stole the scene in this stunning periwinkle Haute Couture Valentino gown and matching hair colour. The A Star is Born nominee fashioned balloon sleeves and a billowing silhouette alongside over 100 carats of Tiffany diamonds—swoon!
Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk were a match made in heaven on this year's Golden Globe carpet. Irina’s heavily embellished, high slit Versace gown paired seamlessly with Bradley’s all white three-piece Gucci Suit. Although the pair won no awards, they certainly won all of our hearts.
Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu graced the red carpet in an elegant nude toned Vera Wang gown. She paired the sheer, lingerie-inspired silhouette with a Messika diamond choker for a romantic effect.
No stranger to the best dressed list, Lupita Nyong’o was dripping in metallic beads and Bulgari jewels. Designed by Raf Simmons for Calvin Klein by Appointment, the royal blue ensemble worked well with her intense eyeshadow look and silver heeled sandals by Aldo.
Michael B Jordan
It’s not just the ladies that shine on the red carpet. Micheal B Jordan looked effortlessly stylish in a custom Riccardo Tisci for Burberry tuxedo. The sharply cut double-breasted blazer was complemented by silk lining and a 1934 vintage diamond brooch by Cartier. Classy.
Another Haute Couture Valentino gown stunned the red carpet and this time it was worn by Gemma Chan. Her voluminous gown featured shorts and a bow on the back of the neck, offering a truly majestic silhouette. Her look was perfected by an elegant updo and wing diamond earrings by Forevermark.
Bows were definitely the trend for this years carpet and Kayley Cuoco had it mastered. The sleek, strapless dress was a navy and white velvet/silk hybrid designed by Monique Lhuillier. Not only did this gown fashion a stunning waist bow, but it also featured large pockets—all hail utilitarian fashion!
Opting for intricacy, Emily Blunt honoured true craftsmanship in her lace dress by Alexander Mcqueen. The silver, sleeveless number was perfectly balanced with a high neck and barely-there heeled sandals. The actress completed her look with an understated braided updo and Neil Lane diamond earrings.
By accident or on purpose, Black Panther’s Danai Gurira embodied the red carpet in her fiery gown by Rodarte. Inspired by Zimbabwe’s national flower, the flame lily, Guirra’s gown was formed of red sequins contorted together to create a stunning filigree design. This harmonised with the gowns’ asymmetric silhouette and of course the on-trend, oversized bow.
When it comes to the Golden Globes, there is no need to play it safe. Michelle Yeoh stuns in an emerald green gown by Taiwanese designer, Shiatzy Chen. Certainly an eye catcher on this years’ red carpet, her dress featured a leather plunge neck and embellished mesh. Her bold choice sent Twitter into a frenzy when it was realised she also wore the iconic emerald ring that her character Eleanor wore in the blockbusting film Crazy Rich Asians.
